As I said yesterday, the New York media is jumping all over the fact that Carlos Delgado didn’t take a curtain call yesterday after hitting his second home run of the game against the Braves.
Newsday’s “The Final Score” has a great summary of exactly how extensive the coverage is . And wouldn’t you know it, Mike and the Mad Dog are leading the pack of hounds.
I know this is New York and the media scrutiny is ridiculous, but come on, let the man be. I don’t blame Mets fans for booing Delgado when he doesn’t produce, but getting on Carlos for staying in the dugout yesterday is just a waste of breath.
Carlos Delgado being mischaracterized in the media…sound familiar?
